Rachel Grimes, BA Mus Cello Lessons
Having studied the cello since the age of eight, I have gathered many years of experience in cello performance and technique. I fell into teaching soon after finishing my degree and grew to love it almost immediately! I have taught very young children, teenagers and college students, to adult learners in groups and individually, from beginners to advanced players (ABRSM grade 8). I spent several years of learning with Anna Shuttleworth, one of the great British cello teachers, and have also been lucky enough to have Masterclasses with Louise Hopkins and Melissa Phelps.
I believe in providing lessons that work to each individual pupils’ needs and wants, alongside my guidance. Learning the cello requires discipline and effort, but is also one of the most engaging and rewarding activities!
