Email: davidp.music.464@gmail.com Mobile: 07460 801 514 ISM member Teacher of Music Specialising in Piano, Music Theory and Composition and also offering guitar, recorder, trumpet for beginners I have been a Head of Music and taught music in schools in South Africa and England for the past 30 years. I am experienced in teaching all age groups and abilities, with notable successes in graded exams and preparation for successful senior school scholarship applications. Pupils of mine have also gone on to form bands which have recorded with prominent recording studios. I also have been privileged to experience working with neurodiverse pupils, and find this work to be very rewarding. My approach to teaching is to create a space for pupils to feel encouraged to develop their musicality in which ever area of music best expresses themselves. Skills learnt become tools for more proficient expression through the pure joy of making music – with confidence and ease. Learning a musical instrument is an investment for life. Apart from providing skills for a rewarding hobby and for lifelong entertaining of friends and loved ones, it can also lead to an enriching career path with many different possibilities in one of the biggest industries in global economics. Whatever your age or ability, or that of your children or loved ones, invest in a future filled with the joy of music making!

Piano, Violin, Viola and Theory

BMus – University of Music, Vienna MA – London Metropolitan University

Mobile: 07904316033 Email: juliarandall@protonmail.com Since starting to teach in the UK, I have helped over 40 students attain music scholarships and my students consistently achieve excellent results in their music exams – both with ABRSM and Trinity – all the way through to diploma level as well and music competitions, music festivals and music university preparation. I also offer online music theory classes on Zoom or in person. I was inspired to start sharing my experience and understanding of music by my mother (also a violin, viola and piano teacher!). She always made them laugh and enjoy music while still imparting valuable knowledge with everything she said. She also took the time to organise recitals for them which I feel is very important as well and regularly organise concerts for my students to perform in. I was born in Canada and first started playing violin at age five as part of a musical family. Both my father and grandfather come from strong Hungarian traditions of violin playing going back to Jenö Hubay. At the age of just sixteen, I was accepted into the professional performance diploma programme at the renowned Music University of Vienna, where I received training with Prof. Jan Pospichal (concertmaster of the Vienna Symphony) and graduated with first class honours in 2007. Extensive solo and orchestra performances throughout Germany, Austria, Italy, China, Japan, Canada and many other countries, as well as solo electric violin tours, have provided me with a wealth of experience as a versatile soloist and chamber musician. Having also studied with György Pauk (Royal Academy of Music), Gyula Stuller (Haute Ecole de Musique, Lausanne) and Marina Sorokova has given me a broad technical and musical background. In 2012, I also completed a MA in Music Industry Management in London to complement my previous music studies, having discovered a strong interest in the managerial aspect of music. However, throughout my studies and performances I have always loved teaching and now teach at the North London Conservatoire, where I also enjoy my role of organising over 200 concerts per year for students. I also teach in schools throughout London and the South East, having lived in Sutton, Haywards Heath, and now Eastbourne over the past 10 years. I continue to enjoy performing both with my acoustic and electric violin in concerts, and always try to find some time for designing and sewing clothes, reading and cooking.

I have recently moved to Hailsham from the Gatwick area and you can read my reviews below. “Maryna began teaching my eldest daughter since she was 6 years old which was 4 years ago, and she recently took both her grade 3 theory and practical. She a wonderfully upbeat generous lady who has become like a member of the family. She is patient, encouraging and really knows how to keep the momentum going whatever humor your child is in. My daughter loves having her as her piano teacher and my younger child begged Maryna to teach her from the age of 2. Maryna is honest, trustworthy and kind and always looks to encourage my children and find something good and praiseworthy in each lesson. One in a million.” “A fantastic teacher.
